Job Summary

The Principal is responsible for providing strong leadership and direction to ensure the effective operation of the school. This role involves overseeing academic programs, managing staff, maintaining discipline, promoting a positive learning environment, and fostering relationships with students, parents, and the community.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to achieve the school’s academic and administrative goals.

  • Supervise and support teachers and staff to ensure high-quality instruction and performance.

  • Develop and implement school policies, curriculum standards, and educational programs.

  • Monitor student progress and promote academic excellence and holistic development.

  • Manage school budgets, resources, and facilities effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with education board regulations and institutional policies.

  • Promote a safe, disciplined, and inclusive school environment.

  • Organize staff training, workshops, and professional development sessions.

  • Foster effective communication among staff, students, parents, and the wider community.

  • Represent the school in meetings, conferences, and community events.

Required Skills

Educational Qualifications:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Education (M.Ed), Educational Leadership, or a related field.

  • B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory; Ph.D. in Education is preferred.

  • Certification or training in school administration or leadership will be an advantage.


Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in a reputable institution.

  • At least 2 years of administrative or leadership experience (as Vice Principal, Head of Department, or similar role).

  • Proven record of improving academic performance and staff development.
