Job Summary

The Primary Teacher is responsible for teaching all core subjects to primary-grade students while fostering their academic, social, emotional, and personal development. The role involves creating an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment, implementing the school's curriculum, assessing student progress, and working collaboratively with parents and colleagues to support student success.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons across all primary subjects in accordance with the school's curriculum.
  • Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment that encourages active learning.
  • Develop lesson plans and teaching resources that meet diverse learning needs.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress through assignments, classwork, projects, and examinations.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
  • Promote positive behavior, discipline, and character development through effective classroom management.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and academic development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching methods into classroom instruction.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, child safeguarding procedures, and educational standards.

Required Skills

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably at the primary level.
  • Strong knowledge of primary curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach multiple primary-level subjects effectively.
  • Strong lesson planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational technology tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.
