Primary Science Teacher - Naunehal School (Korangi) @ Ismailia Youth Services (IYS)

The Primary Science Teacher will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of scientific principles. The teacher will design and deliver age-appropriate science lessons, incorporating hands-on experiments, inquiry-based activities, and real-world connections to support student exploration and understanding of key scientific concepts.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver interactive science lessons that align with curriculum standards and engage students.
• Facilitate hands-on experiments and activities that promote student inquiry, observation, and problem-solving.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
• Encourage critical thinking and foster a growth mindset through scientific exploration.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, positive, and effective learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate science into other subjects and support school-wide initiatives.
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities to stay current on educational practices.

Skills and Qualification:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience teaching science at the primary school level.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to create an engaging, hands-on, and inquiry-based learning environment.
• A commitment to promoting student curiosity and supporting their academic growth.
• Familiarity with current science curricula and educational technologies.
