Job Summary

The Primary Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative operations of the primary section of the school. The role involves ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, supporting teachers, monitoring student progress, maintaining discipline, coordinating with parents, and implementing the school's curriculum and policies to create a positive and effective learning environment.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day academic and administrative activities of the primary section.

  • Monitor the implementation of the curriculum and ensure effective teaching practices.
  • Support, mentor, and evaluate teachers to enhance instructional quality and professional development.
  • Monitor student academic performance, attendance, behavior, and overall well-being.
  • Coordinate assessments, examinations, report cards, and academic records.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and school activities.
  • Organize school events, assemblies, competitions, and co-curricular activities for the primary section.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, educational standards, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and other coordinators to achieve the school's academic and operational goals.
  • Address student, parent, and staff concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Prepare academic reports, schedules, and other documentation as required.

Required Skills

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Master's degree in Education or a related field (B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, with leadership or coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of primary education curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and support teaching staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high academic standards

Reporting To: Principal / Head of School

Work Environment:

School campus with regular interaction with students, teachers, parents, and administrative staff. May require participation in school events and occasional work beyond regular school hours during examinations, meetings, or special programs.
