- Prepare and mix clay and other ceramic materials.
- Shape clay using a pottery wheel or hand-building techniques.
- Create pots, vases, bowls, plates, and other ceramic products.
- Trim, smooth, and finish clay items.
- Apply designs, colors, glazes, and decorative finishes.
- Operate and safely use pottery equipment and kilns.
- Inspect finished products for quality and defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow production requirements and customer specifications.
- Properly store clay, tools, glazes, and finished products.
Required Skills
Skills And Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pottery or ceramics preferred.
- Knowledge of clay preparation, shaping, glazing, and firing.
- Good hand skills and attention to detail.
- Creativity and an eye for design.
- Ability to operate pottery equipment safely.
