Physical Education (PE) Teacher - CBS Metroville @ Ismailia Youth Services (IYS)

Job Summary

The PE Teacher is responsible for planning and guiding school children in discipline and sports related activities. S/he will help students to develop, improve their social and physical skills. S/he will act as Incharge of Disciplinary Council.

Sports Related Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and submit sports strategy for students on quarterly basis.
• Plan and organize all sports events
• Organize and keep record of sports events, and resource equipment.
• Identify & submit sports related resources & equipment requirement to his/her supervisor
• Coordinate with administration for requisition & purchasing of sports items.

School Discipline Related Duties & Responsibilities

• Assign duties and responsibilities to Disciplinary Council Members to monitor and maintain discipline (inside/outside) of the school.
• Along with the Disciplinary Council Team check and ensure students’ physical appearance (uniform, haircut etc.
• Monitor students at arrival, dispersal, break timing and ensure discipline.
• Act as proctorial group in charge.
• Conduct surprise checking of student bags / classrooms and reporting to the class teacher in case any undesirable belongings are found
• Work closely with his/her supervisor to resolve students’ discipline related issues, and issue call/warning letters to students where require.
• Available to be part of meeting/counselling session with the parents regarding their child/children discipline issues.
• Any other related task assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 2-3 years of experience in teaching physical education or related roles, ideally within a school environment.
• Strong understanding of various sports, fitness programs, and physical training methods.
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead sports events and activities for students.
