Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent Pharmacy Assistant based at Aga Khan Hospital, Gilgit.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
  • Assist in preparing and dispensing medicines accurately.
  • Label and package medications as per hospital guidelines.
  • Provide basic information to patients on medicine collection and usage (non-clinical).
  • Direct patient queries to the pharmacist when clinical advice is required.
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels of medicines and supplies.
  • Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
  • Help in ordering, receiving, and shelving stock.
  • Maintain records of medicine supply and dispensing.
  • Assist in documentation of controlled drugs as per hospital regulations.
  • Support billing and prescription entry in hospital systems.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
  •  Follow hospital policies and legal requirements related to pharmacy operations.
  • Assist in safe disposal of expired or damaged medicines.

Required Skills

Skills And Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Asst.
  • Ability to speak and understand job-related English, sufficient to carry out nursing care instructions.
  • Demonstrate polite and courteous behavior at all times.
  • Demonstrate positive attitude to those in authority.
  • Ability to give oral instructions/information to patients and visitors in Urdu.
