Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to oversee and manage the Financial Assistance (FA) program across AKESP schools. This role involves close coordination with Aga Khan Social Welfare Board (AKSWB), Regional Education Offices (REOs), Region Support Development Units (RSDUs), schools, and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation, compliance, and timely processing of FA, security deposit refunds, free-ship cases, and AKU-EB related financial processes. The position requires strong analytical skills to review FA data, conduct compliance visits, maintain accurate reconciliations and records, and identify opportunities for process improvement while ensuring adherence to audit requirements and organizational policies.

Role and  Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire Financial Assistance (FA) program across AKESP schools along with closed coordination with Aga Khan Social Welfare Board (AKSWB), ensuring effective implementation and coordination.
  • Liaison with Regional Education Offices (REOs) for timely implementation of FA in Fee Manager.
  • Liaise with AKSWB, REOs and Region Support Development Units (RSDUs) and other stakeholders to address FA queries.
  • Analyze FA data and provide insights to inform decision-making.
  • FA Compliance Visit of REOs, RSDUs, Schools and AKHSSs
  • Coordinate with relevant staff for timely processing Security Deposit Refund and update records.
  • Process of Security deposit refund requests with audit compliance and AKESP policies and initiate refund via bank transfer or cheques
  • Maintain monthly recon and accurate records of security deposit refunds
  • Coordinate with HR for AKESP Free ship process, verifying related staff data, and ensuring timely communication with HR.
  • Liaise with AKU-EB Finance for MSP and Examination fee process, ensuring timely, recon, payments and updates.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and streamline of FA operations, Security deposits Refunds, Free-ship and AKU-EB.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Candidate must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong analytical and coordination skills, and the ability to manage financial assistance programs, reconciliations, and stakeholder communications effectively.
  • Experience in data analysis, compliance, and working with multiple internal and external stakeholders will be considered an advantage
