As a Network & System Administrator, the incumbent shall mainly be responsible for maintaining and administering core networks & on-premises virtualization platforms. The incumbent shall also be leading the IT operations and IT Support functions covering the issues related to hardware, user networks & voice-over IP communications. The incumbent would be working directly under the supervision of the Head of IT and would play a key role in the development & implementation of IT policies.
Regular Duties/Responsibilities
To manage and lead the entire data & voice network and system-related tasks
To deal with the technical consultants & vendors for proposing solutions to new requirements and for maintenance of existing services
To administer & secure the WAN, LAN, VPN, and all other Network devices
To administer & set up Windows servers for Domain, Email, DNS, Virtual Host, Databases, etc.
To administer & setup Linux servers, where required, for business applications
To perform compliance with industry good practices and defined IT policies
To follow the instructions given by the Head of IT in alignment with institutional needs.
Periodic Duties/Responsibilities
Ensure that the Systems and Networks checklist is followed and reported on a daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly basis.
Participate in the formulation of IT Processes and Policies in alignment with the industry-wide good practices and institutional needs.
Monitor logs on server machines and lead the investigation & documentation of all systems and network-related incidents.
Maintain the inventory of all system & network equipment and ensure timely submission of all monthly IT reports and process documentation related to Network & Systems.
Professional Experience
Must have 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in networks, servers & system administration.
Must have expertise in network designs, virtualization technologies, and on-premises cloud setup.
Good to have expertise in batch scripting, Kubernetes & docker containerization.
Have excellent command of the Windows Server operating system along with good command of Linux.
Possess good communication skills to coordinate with senior management and stakeholders.
Professional/voluntary experience in Open-Source technologies would be an advantage.

Academic Credentials
S/he must at least hold a Bachelor's in any discipline of Computer Science / Network Engineering.
Any related online specialization or certificates would be an advantage.
Any related experience in compliance with Information Security requirements would be an advantage.
Language Proficiency
Good interpersonal and communication skills especially in English and Urdu with an understanding of written and spoken language.
Travel and Schedule
