Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Network and Systems Engineer for Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan – Gilgit Region.
Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Systems Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Hyper-V, Windows Server administration and Network management, She/He will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure of GB region, as well as providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Hyper-V, Windows Server, endpoint equipment and servers, and backup solutions to support the organization's IT infrastructure
- Administer Windows Server and Client equipment’s, including patch management, security updates, and performance monitoring
- Provide technical support and supervision to the IT support team, including troubleshooting issues, providing guidance and best practices, and escalating issues as needed
- Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
- Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
- Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
- Deploy and maintain Designed networks.
- Manage and monitor data center, ensuring uptime and performance of the IT infrastructure
- Database management and administration of MSSQL, Oracle and MS Access
- Manage data backup and recovery, ensuring data is backed up to multiple locations and processes are in place to recover data in case of a disaster
- Managing Application Level Security including roles, rights and credentials of the applications.
- Defines customers’ needs and functionality in a service development cycle.
- Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Implements warranty and support activities.
- Plans and implements system automation as required for better efficiency.
- Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Deals with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishment according to the requirements of the stakeholders.
Required Skills
Skills:
- Graduate in any discipline, preferable in Information Technology.
- 3+ years of experience as a Network and Systems Engineer or a related role
- Strong knowledge of Hyper-V, Windows Server, endpoint servers, and backup solutions
- Experience configuring and maintaining Network Infrastructures.
- Experience with data center management and monitoring
- Experience in database management and administration of MSSQL, Oracle and MS Access
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of data backup management and recovery processes
- Experience with application level security
- Certification in technologies, such as MCSA or MCSE or CCNA
