As a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation and assessment of programs and activities undertaken by the Council, ITREB, and Community Institutions. Working closely with the Manager M&E.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the supervisor to:
Undertake needs base field visits to monitor program progress.
Assess the quality of data generated and identify areas for improvement.
Propose strategies to enhance program efficiency by addressing bottlenecks.
Collect and maintain data from the field for reports, updates, and briefs.
Design and implement project surveys/studies, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Prepare case studies and document success stories.
Develop and maintain monthly work plans for field program teams.
Coordination and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual progress reports.
Prepare presentations, briefs, and progress updates.
Planning and supervising various surveys, providing technical and logistical support.
Facilitate the team with troubleshooting in the field.
Provide M&E and MIS-related technical support to field teams.
Ensure smooth information flow from field offices to the central monitoring unit.
Facilitate external evaluators and visitors.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated report-writing skills.
Ability to design M&E tools.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and basic knowledge of Visio, photography, and MS Project.
Goal-oriented, data-driven, with a positive can-do attitude.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience in preparing programmatic budgets and key deliverables.
Travel and Schedule:
Willingness to work beyond normal hours.
Travel within and outside the assigned district.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree is a plus.
