Job Summary
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for Competent Medical Officer for Sindh Region.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
Regular duties / Responsibilities
- Should be fully aware of the mission statement and key objective of the AKHSP and endeavors to implement with team sprit within the department.
- Looks after patients in Labour Room and Ward for treatment and care.
- Guides LHV/ midwife in Labour Room for high risk and complicated labour.
- Take history, examine patient and document all the required findings on the patient file / chart. Ensure proper care of the patient.
- Conduct Obs/Gynae and general clinic.
- Conducts deliveries and supervise deliveries being conducted by LHV / Midwife.
- Guides and supervises the LHV / Midwives for adequate patient care and ensure that acceptable standards are met.
- Ensure that the death record are documented and filled in by RMO.
- Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all the events in patient’s care.
- Ensure properly finance record of unit as Unit In charge.
- Ensure proper utilization/implementation of SDM, RHC, TB , IMCI, Mental Health, HMIS & IC Program
- Assign the duty to LHV/midwife, domestic aid and watchman.
- Check properly maintenance of health unit, utility as per guideline from Program office.
- Attend the all workshops, training program and meetings when required
- Arrange health day’s celebration as per plan.
- Performs all other duties that are assigned by the Field Director from time to time.
- Perform outreach activities and camps within different areas of Sindh community Program with the team.
- Provide consultation on Tele-health / Elaj Asan application.
- Provide family planning counselling and procedures to the clients.
Required Skills
Education, Experience & Competencies
- MBBS with Valid PMDC license
- Should have at least One year practicing experience in the relevant field.
- Obg/gyne training will be preferred.
- Certified for ultrasound will be preferred
