Job Summary

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies to strengthen brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and increase retail and online sales. The role requires leadership in digital marketing, campaign management, brand positioning, partnerships, events, and customer acquisition initiatives.

Role and  Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement monthly marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute seasonal campaigns, book launches, author events, and promotional activities.
  • Brand Identity: Manage brand positioning and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead social media, email marketing, website promotions, SEO, and paid advertising.
  • Retail Coordination: Collaborate with retail operations to design and execute in-store marketing and merchandising campaigns.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze customer insights, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with publishers, authors, media partners, agencies, and influencers.
  • Content Oversight: Supervise and create content for digital and traditional platforms.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the marketing team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Customer Loyalty Programs: Design and manage initiatives to increase repeat purchases.
  • CSR & Community Engagement: Drive literacy campaigns, school partnerships, and community events.
  • Omnichannel Integration: Ensure seamless customer experience across retail outlets, e-commerce, and digital platforms.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure campaigns meet legal, ethical, and audit requirements
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Review customer feedback and incorporate insights into campaign improvements.
  • Track and report website traffic to measure digital reach.
  • Work on increasing customer footfall in retail outlets.
  • Monitor social media analytics to ensure consistent growth and engagement.

 

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–8 years of marketing experience, preferably in retail, publishing, e-commerce, or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media management, CRM, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in campaign planning, event management, and brand development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
