Job Summary

The Community Development Foundation is an organization dedicated to developing the community through intellectual and educational initiatives.

The Manager Southern Region (Regional Academic Coordinator - RAC) will be responsible for providing the overall leadership to the region. S/he will be responsible for providing academic and human resources support to the region in line with the policies and procedures set up by the National Board. Besides, s/he would take the lead in planning and implementing staff development initiatives in coordination with relevant stakeholders. The individual will play an essential role in preparing long and medium-range plans, as well as the planning of annual programmes and implementation mechanisms in conjunction with the theme coordinators. S/he would also actively participate in National Planning and goal-setting on behalf of his/her region. RAC would be reporting to the Area Manager while having a strong functional relationship with the Regional Chairman. In particular, s/he will be expected to perform the following Terms of Reference.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To provide appropriate leadership in a team environment on Regional matters in line with the National directions.
  • To ensure timely and quality implementation of annual regional academic plans with the support of Academic Lead.
  • To monitor Access and other regional targets as per the approved plan.
  • To assist relevant stakeholders in planning and implementing staff development initiatives (academic/professional) in the region.
  • To assist in facilitating Head Office-based staff development initiatives.
  • To ensure the proper pilot testing (where required) of new programs and ideas in collaboration with the Area Manager, Academic Lead and the Theme Coordinators of RE, Youth Development and Waez.
  • To ensure that proper teaching, learning and assessment systems are in place at the REC level in the region.
  • To ensure the development of annual academic and operational plans and budgets at the regional level with the assistance of the Academic Lead.
  • To ensure proper coordination between Head Office departments and the Regions.
  • To ensure timely submission of various reports to Head Office.
  • To appraise the regional staff members in close consultation with the Academic Lead and Area Manager, Also, to give regular feedback to them for improvement.
  • To conduct any other function as and when assigned by the Area Manager, Regional Chairman and Manager Operations.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Master's in any discipline, preferably M.Ed., MBA, MPA from a well-recognized university, along with at least 5 – 6 years of academic & management experience in an educational institution(s) or development sector.
  • Working experience in the field of the REC system is desirable but not a must.
  • An understanding of and exposure to the perspectives of the IIS will be an advantage.
  • The post holder must possess demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
  • A strategic thinker who is able to develop a strong team with effective people management skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and report writing skills in English and Urdu, with hands-on working experience on MS Office.
