Position Description
SJDA is seeking applications for the position of Manager Scholarship having managerial, technical, and operational background for the scholarship program
The Manager, with the help of area implementation team, will implement the programme, develop the process and systems required for a proactive, sustainable, and scaled approach to scholarship.
Role and Responsibility:
Scholarships (AKES, AKF)
- Handling various processes of scholarship and ensure the smooth running of the event.
- Marketing and launching of the University Scholarship Program (USP) and its functionality it is handled by Aga Khan Education Bord for Pakistan (AKEB, P).
- Overview of the Loan Recovery process of the USP.
- Manage renewal of scholarships on yearly basis.
- Screening of application based on criteria decided.
- Processing formal application forms.
- Correspondence with students regarding queries and information
- Preparing Student Profiles for interviews.
- Scheduling g scholarship interview dates
- Develop a recommendation report on each candidate based on interview results and interviewer panels evaluation.
- Prepare acceptance/regret letters to the candidates. (For AKES Scholarship only)
- Prepare Merit List after the meeting of the Decision-Making Panel (For AKES Scholarship only
Annual Basis
Annual Report to AIglemont
- Preparation of SAC report in coordination with the Finance Officer.
- Preparation of budget in coordination with the Finance Officer.
- Develop a work plan for the subsequent year.
- Assess universities to update the AKEB approved list of universities.
Alumni Programme
- Data collection of Alumni
- Update and main twin the database of the alumni record
Scholarship Meetings
- Coordinate meetings with directors, LEBs/REBs, senior management, and interdepartmental staff.
- Attending meetings to review work plans, targets, and other activities.
- Maintaining the minutes of the meetings
Others:
- Prepare scholarship interview presentation/report for the Decision-Making Panel (Officer Bearers)
- Attend interviews and take notes (if needed)
- Prepare and deliver scholarship presentation (if advised).
- Coordinate AKES Scholarship software-related activities.
- Develop/Review AKES Scholarship policies & procedures as and when required.

Required Skills
Education:
Master’s degree in Finance preferred
Experience:
At least 4 - 8 years experience of working with a national or international well-reputed institution in the field of finance or scholarships.
Required skills:
- A self-starter, and highly motivated individual with a passion for working in the education sector;

Experience in finance with a qualification

Good command of Urdu &English languages.

Strong managerial skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
