The Manager – Resource Mobilization is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure financial and non-financial resources to support the organization’s mission and programs. The role focuses on fundraising, donor engagement, partnerships, proposal development, and sustainability planning.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Resource Mobilization & Fundraising
Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Identify and pursue funding opportunities from donors, foundations, corporations, governments, and multilateral agencies.
Lead fundraising initiatives including grants, sponsorships, campaigns, and partnerships.
Diversify funding sources to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors and partners.
Prepare donor engagement plans and ensure timely communication, reporting, and stewardship.
Represent the organization in meetings, events, and networking opportunities related to fundraising and partnerships.
Lead the development of high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, and budgets.
Coordinate with program and finance teams to ensure proposals are accurate and competitive.
Track funding applications and manage donor compliance requirements.
Monitor fundraising performance and prepare regular reports for management and the board.
Analyze funding trends and recommend improvements to resource mobilization approaches.
Contribute to organizational strategic planning and sustainability initiatives.
Support and guide staff involved in fundraising and donor relations.
Build internal capacity for resource mobilization across departments.
Ensure documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, Economics, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, resource mobilization, or donor relations.
Proven track record of successfully securing grants or funding.
Strong proposal writing and budget development skills.
Experience working with NGOs, nonprofits, or development organizations is an advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
Proficiency in MS Office and donor management systems.
