Job Summary

Job Role / Responsibilities:

Reporting to Senior Manager, Finance you will be responsible for the financial management activities, program feasibilities, and planning and budgeting of academic entities in Pakistan.

Specifically, you will be responsible to;

  • Lead in planning, budgeting and accounting activities of the assigned entities of the University
  • Manage the timely and accurate preparation of feasibilities and costing of the academic programs in order to ensure that the investment made in the new initiative is sustainable and adding value to the university
  • Lead the exercises of program based costing of the academic programs which provide direction to management for future decisions
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of periodic reports to internal stakeholders of the university including managing several financial audits aspects
  • Lead in developing capital equipment and staffing budgets on year to year basis in accordance with the assigned areas’ goals and objectives
  • coordinate the process of developing monthly Budget Variance Reports
  • develop strategies for continuous improvement of its operations; identify weaknesses and strategies to mitigate the risk
  • refine processes for efficient monitoring of budgetary and actual financial/ statistical data.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

  • CA / CMA / CIMA or MBA from a reputable university with majors in Finance
  • minimum of seven to eight years related working experience preferably in a management position
  • sound knowledge of overall financial systems
  • be able to multitask and think out of the box
  • excellent analytical skills; able to motivate team and command respect
  • able to communicate relevant trends and findings clearly and concisely, knowing when to escalate
  • possess exemplary interpersonal communication and report writing skills
  • proficiency in computer applications especially MS Office
  • ability to work under pressure and meet stringent timelines
  • ability to work with minimal supervision and to resolve issues independently.
