Job Summary

The Library Assistant will support the Librarian in ensuring smooth, efficient, and student-friendly library operations. Key responsibilities include:

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a complete record of library resources.
  • Update information boards regularly.
  • Update and maintain library automation software.
  • Participate proactively in the proper implementation of policies
  • (collection development, weeding out, etc.)
  • Develop and implement a system for introducing new arrivals in the library.
  • Engage in yearly budgeting and planning exercises.
  • Select print, non-print, and other electronic resources that support the school curriculum and the learning areas.

 

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 01 year of relevant experience; have effective communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and have a good command of MS Office.
