Job Summary

Library Assistant will facilitate and support the librarian in carrying out the below - mentioned tasks;

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain complete record of library resources.
  • Update information boards regularly.
  • Update and maintain library automation software.
  • Participate proactively in the proper implementation of policies (collection development, weeding out etc.)
  • Develop and implement system of introducing new arrivals in the library.
  • Engage in yearly budgeting and planning exercises.
  • Select print, non-print, and other electronic resources that support the school curriculum and the learning areas.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree
  •  Minimum of 01 year of relevant experience; have effective communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and have good command over MS Office.
