Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent Laboratory Technician based at Aga Khan Hospital, Gilgit.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Sample Collection, label, and transport in-house samples.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of test results, samples, and reports to relevant departments.
  • Maintain proper documentation (sample transport sheet) for sample movement and deliveries within time frame & TAT.
  • Lab technicians and analysts with routine testing procedures under Technologist /lab Incharge supervision.
  • Prepare materials, solutions, and ensure cleanness equipment for laboratory experiments and tests.
  • Help in the Inventory management of supplies, including weekly physical of lab supplies.
  • Help in patient sample collection and deliver to main lab.
  • Maintain sample logs, labels, and basic data entry for test records.
  • Assist in filing and organizing test reports, safety sheets, and lab documents.
  • Follow all laboratory safety rules and SOPs.
  • Maintain complete and accurate quality records, logs, and documentation to support certification/accreditation and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Matric/FSc/BSc with 2-year Diploma in MLT
  • Minimum 2-years' experience
  • Be knowledgeable in and apply all standard operating procedures.
  • Communication skills – reporting results clearly to physicians and colleagues.
  • Teamwork – collaborating with doctors, nurses, and fellow technologists.
  • Time management – handling multiple tests with accuracy under pressure.
  • Adaptability – working with new technologies and evolving medical protocols.
  • Professional ethics & confidentiality – safeguarding patient information.
  • Patient interaction – empathy and professionalism during sample collection/ patient/customer dealing.
