Job Summary

The laboratory assistant will be responsible for the following:

  1. Setting up the laboratory for practical
  2. Assist/facilitate teachers during practical
  3. Monitoring students during practical
  4. Restoration of lab items after practical
  5. Repair of damaged equipment
  6. Maintenance of daily practical record
  7. Monthly maintenance of the stock register
  8. Coordination with teachers and admin staff, including for the purchase of lab items
  9. Issuance of apparatus to teachers for classroom activities
  10. Lab setting during practical examinations
  11. Paperwork regarding practical examinations, including schedule, attendance sheet and award list, etc.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of an HSSC (Science) degree, but preferably a Bachelor’s in the relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience at a reputable institution.
  • The individual should have effective communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong command of MS Office.
