Job Summary


Summary:  This role combines technical expertise in Test & Measurement (T&M) and power-related solutions with strong sales acumen. The Sales Engineer proactively drives sales, builds customer relationships, and expertly demonstrates the value of our T&M and power products to solve customer challenges within various industries. 
 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Development: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in a range of industries, including engineers, buyers, and project managers, in order to understand their problems and match them to our solutions.
  • Technical sales expertise: Learn about the technical specifications of our T&M and power product lines. Perform demonstrations, provide detailed responses, and methodically arrange solutions.
  • Consultative selling: Use a consultative strategy to identify your clients' needs. Develop and deliver compelling proposals to overcome objections and conclude negotiations.
  • Market intelligence entails monitoring competing product offerings, changing consumer wants, and industry trends in order to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (pre-sales, engineering, product management) to ensure optimal solutions and customer satisfaction.
  • CRM Management: Diligently track sales activities, pipeline, and customer data within the designated CRM system.
  • Travel: Engage in regular customer visits and participate in industry events and tradeshows as needed.

Required Skills

Skills:

  • Qualifications / Technical Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Sales 
  • Experience: 2+ years of proven sales experience within the Test & Measurement, power electronics, or related technical industries.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of T&M equipment, power systems, power quality analysis, relevant industry standards, and common applications. Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong focus on exceptional customer service and relationship development. Communication
  • Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear presentations and technical demonstrations.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze customer needs, propose tailored solutions and troubleshoot issues.
