Junior Maintenance Officer – Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Sherqilla @ Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan

Job Summary

The Jr. Maintenance Officer will ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of school and hostel facilities.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections and identify building and facility maintenance requirements.
• Attend to and resolve minor civil, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and painting work.
• Monitor buildings, fixtures, sanitary facilities, water supply, drainage, and other infrastructure.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repair and maintenance works.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and material requirements for repair and maintenance works.
• Assist the Facility Lead in preparing and monitoring the annual R&M budget.
• Maintain records of maintenance works, expenditures, and materials.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved specifications, safety standards, and organizational procedures.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualfication:

• Good knowledge of building and facilities maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of civil, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry works.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and conduct site visits.

Requirements

• DAE (Civil) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; facilities management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Basic knowledge of BOQs and cost estimates.
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge will be an advantage.
