Job Summary
The IT Support Officer will provide technical support and troubleshooting services to end-users who need assistance with their computer hardware or software. This role involves diagnosing and resolving IT-related issues, maintaining hardware and software systems, and ensuring the efficient operation of the company's IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for employees' technical issues, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions in the IT helpdesk system, and generate reports on IT activities.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end-users, and develop and update user manuals and documentation.
- Monitor internet usage to ensure performance.
- Manage system purchases and oversee the handover process to users, maintaining accurate records.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Officer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
