Job Summary

Summary:

The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining and configuring the computer systems and network servers across all IYS Schools. The role includes ensuring the smooth functioning of all IT operations, monitoring and maintaining computer systems, and installing and configuring hardware and software. The IT Officer will provide timely technical support to users and resolve technical issues efficiently. The position also involves assisting the Head of IT in the development of customized software and the institution’s website. Additionally, the IT Officer will be responsible for designing and updating network diagrams, managing the virtualization infrastructure, and overseeing the PABX systems of all IYS Schools.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Quarterly Servicing of Hardware Equipment and other Electronic gadgets
  • Manage Network Security
  • Manage PABX
  • Design and update Network Diagrams.   
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors.
  • Provide technical clarity to users for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Lead support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • Manage for Hardware and Software Inventory
  • Installation and up gradation of Anti-Virus and other Apps
  • Technically Monitor CCTV System and Recording.  
  • Weekly report submission to Head of IT & MIS

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, networking, or software development, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Strong technical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; proficient in computer hardware, networking, software installation, and MS Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of web technologies and software development will be an added advantage.
