Job Summary

The Internal Audit Executive is responsible for planning and conducting internal audits, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying operational and financial risks, and recommending improvements to strengthen governance and compliance.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits according to the annual audit plan.

  • Review financial, operational, and compliance processes to identify risks and control weaknesses.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare audit reports with findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
  • Follow up on audit observations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial records, transactions, and business processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in fraud investigations and special audit assignments when required.
  • Maintain proper audit documentation and working papers.
  • Collaborate with department heads to improve business processes and risk management.
  • Support external auditors by providing required information and documentation.

 

Required Skills

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in internal or external auditing, accounting, finance, or risk management.
  • Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, risk assessment, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong report writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance practices is an advantage.
