Job Summary

The Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations, ensuring excellent guest service, managing staff, maintaining profitability, and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the hotel.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise daily hotel operations.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance departments.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate hotel staff.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
  • Monitor room occupancy, reservations, and revenue performance.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Prepare budgets, control expenses, and maximize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations.
  • Maintain hotel facilities and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
  • Prepare operational, financial, and performance reports for management.
  • Promote the hotel and support marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Monitor staff attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel operations or hospitality management.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong customer service and guest relations skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel management systems and reservation software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage budgets, expenses, and financial reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping, front office, food & beverage, and maintenance operations.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and hospitality regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and supervise staff effectively.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
