Job Summary
The position will be based at the Head Office.
The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and provides strategic leadership in planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing adult education and community learning initiatives at the national level.
The individual will be responsible for leading departments focused on adult learning programs, youth development initiatives, educational resource services, and institutional learning support systems.
S/he will collaborate closely with senior management, regional & local leadership, and relevant stakeholders to develop and execute educational strategies and programs for adult learners and community stakeholders.
The incumbent will also support annual and quarterly planning processes, including academic strategy, operational planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
Role and Responsibilities
The individual will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership for adult education and community learning programs at the national level.
- Developing and implementing educational frameworks, policies, and strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Leading and overseeing departments focused on adult learning, youth educational development, knowledge resource services, and related institutional learning initiatives.
- Supervising departmental heads and senior instructional leadership staff to ensure effective implementation of educational programs.
- Collaborating with senior management and key stakeholders in the development and execution of national educational strategies and initiatives.
- Supporting annual and quarterly academic planning, budget development, and resource allocation processes.
- Ensuring effective coordination with regional teams for consistent implementation of educational standards, frameworks, and institutional priorities.
- Monitoring program effectiveness through evaluation systems, performance indicators, impact assessment, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
- Facilitating institutional partnerships and maintaining effective coordination with educational institutions, civil society organizations, academia, and relevant external stakeholders.
- Providing strategic guidance for curriculum enhancement, instructional innovation, educational resource development, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Leading stakeholder engagement efforts at national, regional, and local levels to strengthen educational outreach and impact.
- Supporting professional development initiatives for instructional and academic leadership teams.
- Ensuring effective communication and collaboration across internal departments and external partners to achieve educational objectives.
- Performing any other task assigned by the management for organizational development and advancement of educational initiatives.
Required Skills
Skills and Qualification:
- The applicant should have a Master’s degree, preferably in social or Management sciences, from a recognized university. Courses featuring IIS or ISMC will be advantageous.
- S/he should possess at least 10 years of relevant experience in educational management, academic leadership, strategic program development, and institutional planning at a senior level. Experience working in a leadership position at the apex community institution will be an added plus.
- Preference shall be given to candidates with experience working in educational, community development, or institutional learning environments.
- Additional academic qualifications or professional certifications in Education, Curriculum Development, Educational Leadership, Social Development, or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
- The applicant must have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu
- Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong command of MS Office and digital productivity tools
- Experience in budgeting, program evaluation, and institutional coordination
