Job Summary

The Guest House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the guest house, ensuring excellent guest satisfaction, managing staff, maintaining facilities, and ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall operations of the guest house.
  • Welcome guests and ensure a comfortable stay.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
  • Supervise housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance staff.
  • Monitor room bookings, reservations, and occupancy levels.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of guest house supplies.
  • Prepare operational and financial reports.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain financial records.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair work when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Promote high standards of customer service.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in guest house, hotel, or hospitality management.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping, front desk, and hospitality operations.
  • Basic accounting and financial management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Honest, responsible, and customer-service oriented.
  • Ability to supervise staff and maintain discipline.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
