BACKGROUND OF THE COMPANY:

Northern Pakistan Energy Limited (NPak) is registered under the Companies Act, 2017 (XIX of 2017). The principal line of business of the company is to carry on all or any of the businesses of generating, purchasing, importing, transforming, converting, distributing, supplying, exporting and dealing in electricity and all other forms of energy and products or services associated therewith and of promoting the conservation and efficient use of electricity and to perform all other acts which are necessary or incidental to the business of electricity generation, transmission, distribution and supply. NPak Energy is coming under the AKDN/AKFED’s IPS Pakistan, wherein these two are the shareholders of the NPak Energy Limited.

European Union provided grant for Energy Plus: Energy for Climate Resilience in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Upper/Lower Chitral districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to set an action. The overall objective of this action is to foster a climate resilient low-carbon economy and society in Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral.

This position is within the Energy Plus of NPAK, Pakistan and you will report to the Project Manager. The incumbent will work in close coordination with the relevant company operational teams across the region and will provide technical leadership to develop frameworks, plans and indicators to capture NPAK performance results and undertake effective, accurate and timely monitoring and evaluation project activities. The Grant and M&E officer will ensure that lessons learned are integrated into programme implementation to continuously improve quality of interventions and outcomes. The incumbent will also contribute to capacity building of programme staff on monitoring and evaluation.

Role and  Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the project's M&E frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and donor requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual work plans in consultation and coordination with technical teams and components.
  • Design and implement field data collection methodologies preferably KOBO/Survey CTO/ Survey 123 etc; to regularly track progress, gather feedback and input the data for measuring project progress.
  • Conduct field visits to project sites to monitor implementation progress, assess quality of delivery, and document findings.
  • Collect, consolidate and present data to track project progress against work plan targets and logical framework indicators.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Document best practices, write case studies and success stories, produce knowledge products to enhance knowledge management and learning within the organization.
  • Provide technical assistance to the technical teams to ensure compliance with M&E protocols and requirements across all project activities.
  • Manage, access and utilize project data and records using cloud database for analysis, forecasting and insights aiding management in timely course correction.
  • Use analytics software preferably Power BI or Tableau or any other analytics software to create dashboards for management insights.
  • Any other task assigned by the Program Manager

Required Skills

Qualification

  • 16 years Education in Economics (Development, Financial or Energy), Mathematics, Data Analysis and Business Analytics, or Statistics (inferential and modeling), Engineering or any other field

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years direct Experience in a position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting with an Organization working in Similar Field.

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Strong data analysis and Modeling Skills Statistical Software.
  • Working experience with Analytics Software preferably Power BI, Tableau or any other software
  • Experience with EXCEL, PowerPoint and Word
  • Good presentation and Analytical Skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of Budgeting and Finance would be an asset
  • Good understanding of Monitoring and Reporting functions.
  • Preferable Experience of KOBO Tool box, Survey 123 or similar data gathering tool
