Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teacher to join our educational institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons across various subjects, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic and personal development.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain clear rules of behavior to create a respectful and conducive learning environment.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects; provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Student Support: Identify and address individual learning needs, offering additional support and resources as necessary.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with educational best practices.

Required Skills

Educational Qualifications:

Primary and Secondary Levels:

  • Intermediate Level (12 Years of Education): Completion of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent.
  • Professional Qualification:
    • Primary Teaching Certificate (PTC) or Certificate in Teaching (CT).
    • Diploma in Education (D.Ed) or Associate Degree in Education (ADE).
    • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (Hons.) for those aiming to teach at higher levels.

Higher Secondary and University Levels:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A relevant bachelor's degree in the subject area to be taught.

Professional Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent.
  • Master of Education (M.Ed) or subject-specific master's degree for specialized teaching roles.

Certification and Training:

  • Completion of teacher training programs accredited by recognized educational bodies.
  • Participation in professional development courses to stay updated with current teaching methodologies and curricula.

Experience:

  • Some institutions may require prior teaching experience, especially for positions in higher educational levels.
