Job Summary
A Food & Beverage Officer is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of food and beverage services, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, hygiene, and overall guest satisfaction.
Roles And Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily food and beverage service operations.
- Ensure food and beverages are served according to quality and presentation standards.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and guests.
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely order delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and receiving.
- Maintain accurate records of food and beverage stock and consumption.
- Ensure proper food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards are followed.
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service issues professionally.
- Monitor portion control and minimize food and beverage wastage.
- Ensure dining and service areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Assist in staff scheduling, training, and supervision when required.
- Support management in maintaining service standards and controlling operational costs.
- Prepare or assist with daily sales and operational reports.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Required Skills
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, hospitality, restaurants, or catering is preferred.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage operations and service standards.
- Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Basic understanding of inventory and stock management.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications is an advantage.
