Position Summary
Aga Khan Ismailia Charitable Trust (AKICT) is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Finance Officer – Finance & Reporting to support financial management, reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, hands-on accounting experience, and the ability to support multi-project financial reporting, including real estate development and institutional operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist in preparation of management accounts and financial statements
- Monitor project-wise financial performance and variance analysis
- Prepare financial dashboards and reporting for management
Budgeting & Planning
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Monitor budget utilization and cost controls
- Support financial planning for development projects
- Conduct financial analysis and projections
Accounting & Compliance
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate accounting records
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Assist in audit coordination and regulatory compliance
- Review reconciliations including bank, vendor, and member accounts
Project & Operational Finance
- Monitor project-related payments and collections
- Support cost tracking for construction and development projects
- Assist in fund management and cash flow planning
- Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for financial controls
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Handle income tax and sales tax matters, including filings and compliance
- Coordinate with tax consultants and regulatory authorities (FBR, SRB, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with withholding tax regulations
- Review tax implications of contracts, payments, and project transactions
- Assist in tax planning and compliance reporting
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Support reporting to trustees and senior management
- Assist in preparation of financial presentations and summaries
Required Skills
Qualification & Experience
- ACCA/ CMA / CA (Final Stages) - Preferred
- MBA Finance / M. Com from HEC recognized and reputable universities
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance, budgeting, reporting and taxation
- Experience in real estate, development, or non-profit sector preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
