Position Summary

Aga Khan Ismailia Charitable Trust (AKICT) is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Finance Officer – Finance & Reporting to support financial management, reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, hands-on accounting experience, and the ability to support multi-project financial reporting, including real estate development and institutional operations.

Role and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts and financial statements
  • Monitor project-wise financial performance and variance analysis
  • Prepare financial dashboards and reporting for management

Budgeting & Planning

  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor budget utilization and cost controls
  • Support financial planning for development projects
  • Conduct financial analysis and projections

Accounting & Compliance

  • Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate accounting records
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Assist in audit coordination and regulatory compliance
  • Review reconciliations including bank, vendor, and member accounts

Project & Operational Finance

  • Monitor project-related payments and collections
  • Support cost tracking for construction and development projects
  • Assist in fund management and cash flow planning
  • Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for financial controls

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Handle income tax and sales tax matters, including filings and compliance
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and regulatory authorities (FBR, SRB, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with withholding tax regulations
  • Review tax implications of contracts, payments, and project transactions
  • Assist in tax planning and compliance reporting

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Support reporting to trustees and senior management
  • Assist in preparation of financial presentations and summaries

Required Skills

Qualification & Experience

  • ACCA/ CMA / CA (Final Stages) - Preferred
  • MBA Finance / M. Com from HEC recognized and reputable universities
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance, budgeting, reporting and taxation
  • Experience in real estate, development, or non-profit sector preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
