Job Summary
Introduction
To cater to the increasing number of projects of various natures, the company is looking for young and enthusiastic civil engineering professionals to serve this office.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor all construction and renovation works implemented under the guidance from the project manager.
- Closely liaise with consultants and other members of the engineering team to determine project requirements
- They will be responsible for the quality output of construction and renovation works as per specifications and requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials
- Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design works
- Conduct field services for civil works
- Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations
- Establish and monitor construction work schedules
- Review feasibility studies, economic analyses, municipal and regional best practices, environmental impact studies or other investigations
- Act as project supervisor for top supervision of construction works
- Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects
- Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
- He will be required to work in consultation with the project manager to match the actual work being carried out by the physical works contractor.
- Any other official duties assigned by the project manager.
Required Skills
Skills and Qualifications
- A university degree in civil engineering.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in various aspects of civil engineering, including site supervision, structure design, and project management.
- Good understanding of national and international building codes and practices.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of general Computer skills (MS Office, Internet, Emails)
- Good knowledge and practice of Engineering Software (AutoCAD, MS Project, ETABS, SAFE)
Working Conditions
The Field Engineer will be stationed at the Head Office in Karachi but should be ready to travel across the country for project works as required by the office. He is also expected to work extra hours after office times as per requirement.
