Facilitator Quran Education Program - Southern Region @ Community Development Foundation

JOB SUMMARY:
The position will be based in the Southern Region. The position reports to the Manager Southern Region and assists him/her in academic management. His/her functional link will be with LBs of the region. The individual will be responsible for providing support to the institution in implementing the Ta’lim Curriculum and in conducting academic programs of high quality. S/he will be expected to serve as RECDC for one of the local boards of its region and travel to all local boards of Southern. S/he will also be responsible to conduct lectures for the community and Youth of the region and prepare programmatic reports of the Southern Region.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Use effective methods to help students improve their recitation and memorization skills.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop individualized plans for students who need extra support.
• Promote mutual respect and Islamic etiquette among students.

Skills and Qualification:

• The applicant should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in the area of Education and/or Islamic Studies from a recognized University along with at least 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in Teacher Education, Educational Planning and Program management.
• The position also requires a basic understanding of the Arabic language and an excellent command of Tajweed and Qur’an recitation (Tilawat) for coordinating and implementing the Quran Education Program.
• Basic computer skills with experience in Urdu typing and comfort with MS Excel are desired.
• Preference will be given to those who have Qir’at skills and have some exposure to Ta'lim curriculum, particularly how the Quran can be integrated into the curriculum to enrich the understanding of the faith, ethics, history, and cultures of Muslim peoples and the Ismaili community in particular.
• Preference shall be given to those candidates who have completed Training programs like HRDP, and HWDP and have experience working with Regional/Local community institutions.
• The applicant must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Urdu with a good command of MS Office.
