The English Language Trainer will deliver structured, CEFR-aligned English language instruction to students in Grades 5 to 10 and existing academic staff across AKES schools through live online sessions conducted from the Islamabad office. The programme targets students with identified gaps in Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing (LRSW) skills, with the aim of advancing learners by at least one CEFR proficiency level within the programme period. The trainer will coordinate with in-class support staff at school to manage the learning environment, develop detailed lesson plans tailored to the assessed level of each cohort, administer placement and progress assessments, and track individual learner progression across CEFR bands.
Beyond classroom delivery, the trainer is expected to contribute to conduct assessment, curriculum development and the curation of learning materials suited to CEFR-aligned blended delivery. This includes developing listening and speaking activities, assessment tools, and structured practice resources. Participation in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and support to teacher capacity-building sessions are part of the wider responsibilities. The trainer will use learner data to adapt instruction and report on programme progress to the academic team.
