The ECD Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment for young children. The teacher will support children’s early learning and development through age-appropriate activities, play-based learning, classroom routines, and positive interaction.

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and learning activities.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and child-friendly classroom environment.
• Teach basic literacy, numeracy, language, social, emotional, and motor skills.
• Use play, stories, songs, art, games, and practical activities to support learning.
• Observe and assess children's learning and developmental progress.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and student records.
• Encourage positive behavior, confidence, creativity, and independence.
• Provide individual attention and support to children according to their needs.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress.
• Ensure classroom materials and learning resources are clean, organized, and appropriate for children.
• Promote hygiene, health, safety, and child protection practices.
• Participate in school meetings, training sessions, events, and other assigned activities.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.

Skills And Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE/ECD), Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching or working with young children is preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and early childhood learning methods.
• Ability to plan and deliver age-appropriate, play-based learning activities.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a caring attitude toward children.
• Ability to identify and support children's individual learning and developmental needs.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Basic skills in maintaining student attendance, assessment, and progress records.
• Commitment to child safeguarding, health, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues.
• Willingness to participate in teacher training, school activities, and professional development.
