Job Summary:  

The ECD Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children. The role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development, while also fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Plan and deliver daily lessons and play-based activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, and life skills.

  • Support children’s holistic development (social, emotional, cognitive, and physical).

  • Use storytelling, songs, games, and creative arts to enhance learning.

  • Monitor, assess, and document children’s progress and development milestones.

  • Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, and respect among children.

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about children’s progress and needs.

  • Ensure classroom safety, hygiene, and well-being of all children.

  • Work collaboratively with other staff and participate in school activities.
