Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage all production databases on heterogeneous environment over (Sybase, MSSQL, MYSQL) including Core-Banking & E-Channels Databases for smooth and un-interrupted banking operations and other services. Manage & monitor DR systems to make sure the High Availability of production DBs.
- Managing Database Replication to ensure HIGH Availability of databases.
- Provide ad-hoc support in-case of problem in production & UAT systems/environments to make sure the smooth operations.
- Manage & monitor DR systems to make sure the availability of production database.
- Deals with IT Audits & Security implementations for databases.
- Provide pro-active support for UAT systems/environments.
- Engaged in research & development to help boost performance & to ensure database patching.
- Active team member of New-Core Banking Applications (iMAL) for server setups and respective application installations etc.
- Upgrade database platforms to latest to maximize the utilization of system for optimal resuits.
- Provide support of SAN storages on Hitachi for the production & DR.
- Provide support for SUN Servers on M7-8 & M8-8 based on Oracle Solaris OS (i.e. Production, onsite backup & DR etc.
- Creation of UAT environments on demand based on requirements.
Required Skills
