We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Cook Helper to assist in the kitchen and support the main cook in daily food preparation. The ideal candidate should have basic kitchen knowledge, a willingness to learn, and the ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. This role is essential for the smooth operation of the kitchen and ensuring meals are prepared efficiently and on time.
Role and Responsibilities:
Assist the cook in preparing ingredients (chopping vegetables, grinding spices, etc.)
Clean and maintain kitchen utensils, cooking equipment, and workstations
Wash and cut fruits, vegetables, and meats as directed
Help in cooking simple dishes under supervision
Plate and serve food items when required
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow hygiene standards
Store food items properly to prevent spoilage
Dispose of kitchen waste properly and clean trash areas
Follow safety procedures and kitchen protocols
Run errands related to kitchen needs (if required)
Skills and Qualification:
Basic knowledge of kitchen work (cutting, washing, cleaning, etc.)
Prior experience in a kitchen, hotel, restaurant, or hostel (preferred but not mandatory)
Ability to follow instructions from head cook or kitchen supervisor
Strong personal hygiene and understanding of food safety practices
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and carry light to moderate weights
Willingness to do cleaning tasks such as washing dishes and mopping floors
Ability to work in a team and maintain a positive attitude
Punctual, responsible, and hardworking
Willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays
Basic understanding of kitchen tools and utensils
Quick learner with a helpful and cooperative nature
