Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the head chef in food preparation tasks
  • Follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Assist in stocking and rotating ingredients
  • Operate kitchen equipment under supervision
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow
  • Support in maintaining inventory levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager

Required Skills

Skills:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of food preparation techniques
  • Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from the head chef or kitchen supervisor
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
