Roles And Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as required by the household.
  • Plan menus based on the family's preferences, dietary requirements, and nutritional needs.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
  • Purchase or assist with purchasing groceries and kitchen supplies as required.
  • Monitor food inventory and report items that need replenishment.
  • Store food properly and ensure ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, utensils, appliances, and food storage areas.
  • Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times.
  • Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
  • Accommodate special dietary requirements, allergies, or meal preferences when necessary.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and report any maintenance issues.
  • Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the employer.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience as a House Cook, Private Cook, or in a similar role.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of local and international cuisines.
  • Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and proper food storage practices.
  • Ability to plan balanced and nutritious meals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in a private residence.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and attentive to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing meal schedules and special requests when required.
