Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to menu and recipes.
- Ensure food is cooked properly in terms of taste, quality, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area and equipment.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Manage ingredients and inform about stock shortages.
- Assist in planning and preparing daily menu items.
- Ensure proper storage of food items.
- Maintain consistency in portion size and quality.
Required Skills
Skills and Qualification:
- Minimum Matric or equivalent (food/catering experience preferred).
- Previous experience as a cook or kitchen assistant is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management and teamwork skills.
