NPAK Energy is seeking a dedicated Communications Officer to Join our dynamic team and lead our engagement and information-sharing initiatives.
Job Summary:
The Communication Officer will lead internal and external communication efforts to promote NPAK Energy's mission, values, and progress. The role will focus on building strong relationships with customers, employees, and community partners through clear, consistent, and timely communication. The position will report to the CEO of NPAK Energy and the Lead, Resource Mobilization/HR NPAK.
Role and Responsibilities:
External Communications and Public Engagement
- Develop and implement public communication campaigns
- Coordinate with AKFED IPS if required for guidance and information
- Prepare press releases, media briefs, fact sheets, and community updates
- Monitor media and social media channels to guide positive engagement
- Build relationships with local journalists, community leaders, and influencers
- Manage social media content and official channel updates
- Oversee production of outreach materials such as brochures, posters, and flyers
Internal Communications and Employee Engagement
- Prepare internal announcements, newsletters, and informational resources
- Collaborate with HR to communicate policies, standards, and updates
- Support messaging related to workforce development and organizational culture
- Facilitate employee feedback channels and internal surveys
Customer and Community Communication
- Communicate service-related information such as billing, outages, and digital services
- Ensure messaging is accessible and inclusive, with translations into Urdu, Wakhi, and Burushaski as needed
- Organize community meetings, information sessions, and consultation events
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with local institutions, civil society, and youth groups
Strategic Communication and Reporting
- Maintain a database of communication materials and stakeholder contacts
- Track key performance indicators related to public awareness and engagement
- Prepare monthly progress reports on communication activities

Duty Station
Hunza District, Gilgit-Baltistan.
Occasional travel to Gilgit and Islamabad may be required.
Required Skills
Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu; proficiency in Burushaski or Wakhi is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of social media and digital communication tools
- Experience in public utilities, infrastructure, or development projects is preferred
- Willingness to travel within the Hunza District and engage closely with local communities
