Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Clinical Psychologist for Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan – Gupis/Phander.

Role and  Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular consulting in-person clinics and teleconsultation.
  • Gather and maintain patient information and records through mobile application and HMIS, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals.
  • Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments.

Provide psychological support services, assess, and help patients with psychological problems of all types and levels of severity, including:

  • anxiety, including adjustment disorders, generalized anxiety states, phobias, and panic attacks.
  • depression, ranging from adjustment disorders to severe clinical depression.
  • problems with personal relationships, including communication with health and social care    professionals
  • Psychosexual difficulties (such as erectile dysfunction and loss of libido)
  • alcohol and drug-related problems
  • personality disorder
  • deliberate self-harm.
  • psychotic illness
  • organic brain syndromes

Provide Psychological therapy for individuals, families, and groups.

  • Consultation, supervision, and staff support
  • Training and Development and Psycho Education of individuals and families suffering from mental illness.
  • Research activities (if and when required)

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum BSC Hons/MSc with PGD in Clinical psychology preferred.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in a clinical unit of a hospital.
  • Should have an aptitude for working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Team working skills.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good time management
  • Good communication and team building skills.
