Job Summary

NPAK Energy is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team and lead the construction activities of the project. The position reports to the project Manager of NPAK Energy Limited.

Role and Responsibilities

NPAK Energy Limited is hiring a Civil Engineer under Energy Plus who is expected to:

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities of the project; Supervise involved contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and direct laborers.
  • Ensure that design specifications are available to the contractors.
  • Ensure that all the undertaken activities by the contractors are in accordance with: Design and Specification; International and local building standards and requirements
  • Supervise site engineers, general forepersons, and workers to ensure that the work is done respecting the requested standards of quality.
  • Monitor Contractor’s and the work and report to the Site Supervisors on progress, as well as possible problems, risks, and delays in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that Contractors have the latest approved version of drawings and specifications before commencing the work.
  • Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote a safety culture among the team members and contractors’ personnel.
  • Participate in the design review when requested.
  • Participate in the preparation of detailed construction programmes.
  • Participate in reviewing Method Statements prepared by the Contractor.
  • Control quality of work, prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Identify and ensure that an effective receiving and storage system for materials and equipment is established and maintained.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings.
  • Attend coordination meetings for suppliers and contractors when required.
  • Identify and report potential risks associated with delay/cost/quality/claims situations and EHS issues.
  • Supervise material tests at laboratories, and prepare related forms.
  • Supervise disposal of chemical, biological, or other toxic wastes
  • Preparation Bill of Quantities (BoQs) and measurement sheets for Payment Certificates

Required Skills

 Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3- 5years of experience with construction supervision of civil works, preferably in the energy sector;
  •  Knowledge of local and International standards and construction methods.
  • Good Urdu and English language skills.
