The Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) is seeking a diligent Chowkidar for its facility in Shah Ali, Hyderabad, Sindh, reporting to the Senior Support & Facility Management Officer.
Summary of the Role
The Chowkidar ensures the security of the premises by monitoring entry and exits points, controlling access, maintaining visitor records, and conducting regular patrols. The role identifies and reports security risks, responds to emergencies, and maintains a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Monitors entry and exit points to ensure the security of the premises.
- Controls access to the premises and maintains accurate visitor records.
- Conducts regular security patrols to identify and prevent security risks.
- Reports suspicious activities, security breaches, and incidents promptly to the supervisor concerned.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations and inform relevant authorities when required.
- Secures all entry and exit points during and after duty hours.
- Implements safety and security protocols for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Coordinates with emergency services and relevant external agencies when required.
- Maintains cleanliness and order at the security post.
- Promotes general safety, security, and discipline within the premises.
- Complies with the organization's Code of Conduct and safeguarding principles.
- Supports the organization's Net Zero goals through responsible use of resources.
- Follows AKHS quality assurance requirements, SafeCare standards, and ISO 9001:2015 guidelines to support patient safety and service quality.
Required Skills
Skills and Qualifcation:
- No formal education is required; however, a Middle School certificate is preferred.
- Previous experience as chowkidar and security guard will be referred.
- Demonstrate alertness and vigilance.
- Maintain honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.
- Maintains physical fitness to perform assigned duties.
