We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in authentic and modern Chinese cuisine, strong knowledge of traditional cooking techniques, and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen efficiency.
Prepare and cook a variety of traditional and contemporary Chinese dishes (e.g., Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, or Northern-style cuisine).
Design and update menus, including daily specials and seasonal offerings.
Ensure food is prepared in accordance with authentic recipes and presentation standards.
Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, portion control, and plating.
Supervise and train kitchen staff in Chinese cooking techniques and safety standards.
Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
Monitor food quality, taste, and consistency to maintain customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with management on cost control and kitchen budgeting.
Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hotel.
In-depth knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques (wok cooking, dim sum preparation, sauce making, knife skills).
Understanding of regional Chinese cuisines and ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices.
Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
