Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards.

  • Plan menus and develop new food items.
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented in an appealing manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Monitor food stock and coordinate with purchasing staff for ingredients and supplies.
  • Supervise kitchen assistants and support staff when required.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Manage kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Control food wastage and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portion sizes.

 

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Culinary diploma or certification is preferred.
