Job Description: Chemistry Teacher

A Chemistry Teacher is responsible for teaching students the principles of chemistry, including theories, laws, reactions, and laboratory practices. The role involves preparing and delivering engaging lessons, conducting experiments, assessing student performance, and fostering a strong understanding of scientific concepts.

Role and  Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver chemistry lessons according to the curriculum.

  • Teach topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, acids and bases, and organic chemistry.

  • Conduct laboratory experiments safely and guide students in practical applications.

  • Evaluate and assess students’ progress through tests, assignments, and exams.

  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.

  • Integrate modern teaching aids, technology, and practical demonstrations.

  • Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills.

  • Stay updated with new developments in chemistry and education methodologies.

Required Skills

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field (B.Ed. preferred for school teaching).

  • Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and laboratory techniques.

  • Effective communication and classroom management skills.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.

  • Patience, adaptability, and passion for teaching science.
